‘It is the most dominant start of the season I ever had,  I think I am riding the best I have for many years’ Cudlin says
Australian’s Alex Cudlin made another perfect weekend wining the two races at the Qatar Superbike Championship yesterday at Losail International Circuit. Even Cudlin didn’t get the pole position, that was for Mishal Al Naimi, the Aussie rider managed perfectly the two races and with these two victories , he already made six out of six wins.  ‘ First race was nice, I was able to control the pace, I think from lap five I was able to get into the lead and from there I pushed very hard for five laps to create a gap and was able to control it. I think in the end I won by 10 seconds, so it was a dominant win. I feel good on the bike this year and I am confident, and when I am confident I am fast’ Cudlin said.
‘The second race I was able to control again. For the first maybe 3 laps Saeed was leading and I wanted to watch him and Mashel to see where they were fast and slow and then I just relaxed and in the lap four I decided to go for the lead. I went into the lead, Mashel could passed me so then I really  pushed hard and create a big gap and I slow down as I didn’t want to crash and able to control, so when he got closer, i was able to open the gap again. The bike is perfect at the moment, it is working really well and I think I am riding the best I have for many years , it is the most dominant start of the season I ever had, so keep on going’ added Cudlin.
In the first race of QSBK, the second position was for Mishal Al Naimi, who is struggling with some problems in his bike that doesn’t allow him to be 100% competitive. In the second race, Al Naimi continued with the bike problems and managed only to finish in fourth place   ‘I am lucky to finish both races because I don’t know what is the problem with my bike, I think it is the clutch and the engine, I have too much vibration in the bike, but every time, when I start, I feel good but after 4 laps I have too much vibration and I cannot control the bike, lucky to finish as too many riders crashed today. We’ll see, I changed too many things in the set up but no difference, the vibration is still there, hope to find it and be ready for the next round as I have lost too many points and fight for the win in the next race. Thanks to Ooredoo and QMMF for the support’ said Al Naimi.
The German rider Nina Prinz was back to the podium  as she finished third in both races. Prinz had some problems in the free practice and didn’t expected to be in the podium, so she is very happy with this result  ‘In the first race I had a really good start, I was third in the first corners and then I made a mistake and Rapini and Mishal passed me but at the end it was perfect, at the end I could go faster and end in the third place. I am very happy to be on the podium, the free practice was not so prefect, with some problems with the clutch and didn’t feel so confident with the bike that I did think that I could do a podium and we make it, so i am really happy for the podiums’ Prinz said after the two races.
In the second race, the Indian rider Rajini Krishnan came in second place ‘Thanks for my mechanic, my team and QMMF.  In the practice 2 I had a big crash and I managed to qualify in fourth place but in the first race I was doing good but in the 11th lap I had a crash and I couldn’t finish the race but in the second race, I wanted to be on the podium and I fight for the second place and I am very happy for this’ said Rajini
In the veterans category, the win was for the British rider Ian Maund in both races ‘ Fist  race was fantastic and we made another good race in the second one. I was close to the fast boys, took first place in both races in the veterans class and I think I am pretty close to the championship lead and maybe next we’ll be in front, let’s see’ Maund said after race 2.
Regarding the Qatar Supersport Championship , the leader of the standings, Abdulaziz Bin Ladin won both races without giving any chance to Ahmed Al Muyini and Fahad Al Sowaidi who were second in first and second race respectively.
In the first race, of the Qatar Supersport, Victoria Kis was the winner in the women’s cup whereas Manka Katrasnik won in the second race.
