India lift Asia Cup, thrash Bangladesh by 8 wickets

Mirpur: In a stunning performance, the unbeaten India lifted  the Asia Cup in the twenty20 final defeating Bangladesh  by 8 wickets in Mrpur on Sunday.

Bangladesh fought with occasional glimpses of brilliancy,  but Indian clinched the fitting victory  of  an unbeaten champion  with six balls to spare and eight wickets in hand.

Bumrah and Ashwin were the stars for India with the ball, before Dhawan and Kohli sealed the chase with that partnership. Dhoni had played only nine balls in the tournament.

After Dhawan got out, M.S. Dhoni, the Indian ODI and T20 captain, promoted himself up the order and finished the match in grand style. M.S. Dhoni scored 20 off just 6 balls with 1 four and two huge sixes.

Though lost Rohit Sharma, Dhawan and Kohli played sensibly and build a good partnership of 94 runs for the second wicket.Indian batmen  Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and M.S. Dhoni  were at their hitting best in the match.This is the sixth Asia Cup victory of India.
