Dorna WSBK Organisation and SKY are thrilled to announce that WorldSBK is to continue being shown live on SKY in New Zealand, with three more years of coverage having been agreed. The new deal is confirmed as WorldSBK continues its countdown to the new season, the first round of which will soon be underway in the Southern Hemisphere at Phillip Island, south of Melbourne, Australia.
The extension will see SKY show every race and TISSOT-Superpole session of the WorldSBK and WorldSSP Championships during the 2016, 2017 and 2018 seasons, with the New Zealand network further endeavouring to provide as much coverage of the European Junior Cup as possible. With the renewal of this partnership, WorldSBK will remain truly worldwide with coverage available on every continent, for every fan.
“With the first event of the season beginning on Friday 26 February at Phillip Island, Australia, it’s fantastic to have coverage of this quality series for SKY customers,” said Richard Last, SKY’s director of sport.

WorldSBK begins in Australia at the end of February as Oceania hosts the dawn of the new era, the lights going out on Saturday the 27th for the first time as new riders, teams and challenges kick 2016 into gear.
