‘Once again our hosts in Qatar have welcomed and supported our work and for this we give them great thanks’’ Michèle Mouton

The week-long FIA Women in Motorsport-QMMF Women’s Cross Country Selection culminated with the Women in Motorsport Commission meeting held yesterday, Saturday 7 November, in Doha.

Chaired by President Michèle Mouton and in the presence of QMMF President and FIA Vice President,  Nasser Khalifa Al Attiyah, the members reviewed the cross country selection programme and applauded the highly-professional organisation by QMMF and its team. Everyone was in agreement that the programme had been a great success and plans are now underway to help the winners with their on-going physical and practical training ahead of the 2016 Sealine Cross Country Rally.

“Once again our hosts in Qatar have welcomed and supported our work and for this we give them great thanks,” said Michèle Mouton. “The week has seen success beyond our expectations and we are all very excited about next year’s event. As part of our regular Commission meeting, we have started to formalise our Action Plan for the next three years and everyone leaves Doha full of enthusiasm for the months ahead. As always, there is a lot of work to do, but when you see such progress, it is great motivation for the future.”

‘’We have just finished the first FIA Women Cross Country Selection and I am very happy for the good results that we have achieved but we have to keep on working together with the FIA and all the different members of the women commission to see how we can strengthen the participation of women , in all the areas,  in motorsport’ said Nasser Khalifa Al Attiyah.
